Americans who have exchanged a U.S licence for Ontario licence.

Or if you have a competent state government, they may know what you're talking about when you explain that you're immigrating to Ontario, and they may request not merely a driving record but a record of origin that directly relates to the exchange policy regarding G licenses and years of experience.

Crossing the border in to Canada.

It's not gonna matter much, if you pick busy times during the day/week then it's going to be crowded no matter what. Just make sure that the crossing you go to has the type of services you require and that all your documentation is in order to make things smoothly for yourself and them.

Canadian Experience - a systemic unfair employment barrier to new comers

At very least a few trolls are here to fellate each other. We need to petition to give you guys your own forum for that.

If they requested originals, then give originals. If not, it's presumed to be a copy.

    Settlement amount

I've been seeing other immigrants (and even Canadian citizens) getting $30/hr+ jobs living in Calgary and Edmonton that fly people up to the northern part of the province (Fort Mac being one), sometimes working 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.. doing very little other than menial labor like janitorial...

Canadian Experience - a systemic unfair employment barrier to new comers

A few things: I agree that the Canadian government should recognize any shortages in the work industry and halt work related visa issuance accordingly. That, to me, is where their responsibility lies. Beyond that, no. Qualifications for a job at a business is determined by the employer, not by...

Canadian Experience - a systemic unfair employment barrier to new comers

I won't sign the petition (which already doesn't seem like it would have any useful effect) and this is why.. It's up to a business who hires people as to what qualifications they desire. So long as they respect Canadian and provincial law, and especially protected statuses, I don't see any...

    Secured/Unsecured credit card

We don't know the details of you and your friends financial/job situation, but most don't just look at your immigration status when a bank issues credit, they look at your job status / income, savings, and some type of proof that you pay bills. Canadian credit issuers are a bit more risk averse...

Are photos required at the time of landing for processing PR card?

It's weird to me if they would want photos from you after issuing your COPR.. if it wasn't up to standards I think they would just return it and have you do it again before issuance? But I suppose if they do things differently now and if you're paranoid just make another 4-6 using the correct...

How much are YOUR monthly expenses?

So true. He probably gets free rides from his parents. What a life this guy must have to be a societal leech and troll forums in the ironic fashion he does (trying and feel better about one's own misery by spending excessive amounts of time belittling others). :D You know what they say, misery...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

At work so I have a tough time checking but AFAIK if you applied for extension before the legal visitor period expired (either marked on passport/document like VR or implied 6 months if no required date) then whoever the application is for has an implied status and does not need to leave unless...

Pretty much, and few who do have difficulties are into introspective reasoning and learning to adapt.. and are into blaming others for their mistakes and shortcomings first and foremost. That of course excludes the obvious trolls.

New immigrants to Canada meetings/gatherings for each province

Good morning, sunshine, and thanks for the break of dawn response. How many Canadian flags have we burned over the weekend? Surely you can take time out of your extremely busy celebrity schedule of dodging pixel paparazzi stalkers and posting before most of us are awake to give a legitimate...

New immigrants to Canada meetings/gatherings for each province

No, I think you've got some polite people who would rather give you a minus or report your posts than flame you for the trolling, self backpatting, non-informational, racist inanity you espouse. I don't blame you for attempting a pick me up though.. someone who vies for pixel attention so badly...

Why do discussion threads disappear in this forum?

I think we had some disagreement but I don't remember what it's about, pales in comparison to the blatant racism espoused by certain posters that are trying to troll very hard to get other posters here angry.
