So do we have ANY insight into how they are approaching processing applications right now? It seems to be completely willy-nilly.....some are being addressed and then some haven't heard anything since before March's shutdown. The website for processing times dropped from 23 months to 22 months...

I don't believe so. They may ask for them later. We did not send bank statements up front.

Just noticed the "processing time" for this stream went from 23 months to 22 months on the IRCC site....so, at the absolute very least it's not being completely ignored. LOL

Do they just email it to you? Snail mail? Has anyone who applied AFTER March 2020 received their AOR yet? Also, how does one link their application online so they can watch the progress? (I know you have to wait for AOR for this)

No big updates here. Our application is in but we are now in a waiting game, especially with COVID delays. All I've heard is that Type 1 isn't a huge deterrent as long as it's well controlled, so we are working on getting our daughter's A1C down.

I did just read here that in 2015, only 21% of SE applications were approved, but that was including farm management at the time, which is no longer applicable. I'm curious what the numbers are now.

I just wrote out what they asked for in the application: I sent along a written document (it was about 3 pages) of what I planned to do once I landed, the research I had done on the local Halifax, NS industry pertaining to my NOC, and about a 5-6 page document detailing my business history...

What I'm doing is sending in the application with a asterisk on my cover letter stating that the earliest I can take the IELTS is this January. Once I get my results I will add it to my application. I figure with how long everything is taking, the chances of them even looking at my application...

Are there any numbers out there that show how many people apply through the Self-Employed Stream? I've seen the numbers that show how many they approve a year (it's....not a lot.) but I'm curious if it's not a lot because no one uses this stream?

I decided to sign up for the IELTS despite likely having enough points for the Self Employed Stream. Figured it couldn't hurt. Anyone here take the IELTS and how did you find it difficulty-wise being a native English speaker? I'm going to study as much as I can, but are there any good sources...
