    It takes about 3 weeks to get it back from the day CIC receives it, as per the experiences of my friends that have already gotten theirs.

    Hi Laisa, You make a very good point that "maybe we are been processed by the Sydney office which is why our (Jan+Feb. applicants) are slower". I have read that the due to the current backlog, CIC decided to redistribute some files in order to catch up. I guess this is why we are getting slower...

    Hey Buddy, Whenever you contact your MPs, it is their secretary that responds on their behalf. Rarely do you get direct access to the MP. Yes, I went through the same procedure and it is the MPs secretary that contacted CIC on my behalf. Don't worry, they are very reliable ;)
