Declaration of Common-law after filing CEC application

I don't think you have to submit anything till you hit 1 year mark as common-law. In my case, I contacted CPP-Ottawa and their initial response said that I do not have to submit anything at the moment as we have not reached 1 year mark. 2wks ago, I received another email from CPP-O to provode a...

    GCMS notes

Thanks, iam_toby & jes_ON. I think the reason it's taking so long is because CPP-Ottawa has put my application on hold after I informed them about my pregnancy back in September and my plan to postpone my medical till after I deliver my baby.... >:( Had I known they'd put my entire...

Contact your visa office and explain the situation. I've requested to defer my medicals for the same reason as yours. CPP Ottawa told me to advise them once I deliver my baby with birth certificate.

CEC - BOWP - Health Insurance

I renewed mine. I had a letter from my employment but I was told that they do not have to see the letter. From what I understand, if the case type on your OWP shows 27, it indicates that you are an approved principal applicant for PR and in this case, you do not need an employment letter to get...

    URGENT - Need help :(

It's always good to have a few extra days as a buffer. When was your convocation? The reason I am asking is that I remember reading on this form where someone got rejected because the only working hours that counts towards experience is the ones after the convocation.

CEC Application Filed - Pregnancy During the Process

Hi there, I am in the same situation here. I filed CEC in Jan 2013. I filed as single but my boyfriend (Canadian national) of 5 yrs and I decided to move in together in March 2013. At this time, I didn't think I have to inform CIC as I believe common-law is defined by 12 months of living...

if holding OWP, can we apply for the health insurance card?

Hi, The agent (I live in Ontario) said that if the case type of my WP shows 27 (BOWP falls under case type 27), I can apply for OHIP without a job offer. Look under eligibility; it should say: you have submitted an application for permanent residence in Canada, and Citizenship and Immigration...

Got a work permit for just 18 months.

I had a PGWP for 1.3 years because of my passport expiry. After renewing my passport, I applied for an extension of PGWP, and got the remaining years. So yes, you have to reapply for PGWP if you want the remaining years.
