    Travel after citizenship test ?

When I did my interview after the test the officer asked me if I had any upcoming travel plans. I don't, so I'm not sure what happens if someone did. But I assumed it was because they would note it down so as not to schedule you for an oath ceremony when you're away.

    January 2018 - Citizenship Applications

Hey so for those with access to update the spreadsheet, my test date is still wrong. At the moment it's listed at August 7th when it should really be August 2nd. It's not really a big deal, but right now it means that the time from my test date to DM is calculating as -4 days which will screw...

    January 2018 - Citizenship Applications

Decision Made just means they've ticked all the boxes and done all their checks. It means that the next step is to invite you to a ceremony. They obviously can't invite anyone to a ceremony until they've made a decision on their application, but they're also obviously not always going to invite...

    January 2018 - Citizenship Applications

My ECAS changed to Decision Made this morning, less than 24hrs after passing the test and interview! :D Could someone please update the spreadsheet, and also change my test date to August 2nd on there because I just noticed it's been input wrong. Woooooo!

Can some one please help me ?

Best way for someone to help you is if you actually tell us exactly what you need help with.

    Intend to reside

I just went to the future to check... we should be fine until 2043, but after that things get a little weird for a few years. Luckily, Prime Minister Xavier Trudeau sorts it all out again in 2047.

Can’t view application status on ECAS

Double check your details are correct, and that you haven't switched the month and the day on your date of birth. I've had best success using my Client ID Number (UCI), which is 8 digits (no spaces or dashes or anything, just the 8 digits). It'll be on your AOR letter and it's the same as the...

    January 2018 - Citizenship Applications

Did my test and interview today (20/20). I found it fairly easy, because I was well prepared by reading the book a few times, taking some online practice tests, and then going back and reviewing the book in the sections where I made mistakes in the tests. If anyone's wondering, in my opinion...

    Urgent Citizenship Question!

FAST and NEXUS won't get you into Australia any quicker - those are US based programs (they will help you get out of Canada slightly quicker though by skipping ahead in the security line). Depending on where your current passport is from you might need to arrange a visa in advance for Australia...

    Contacting RICC call center frequently

Put yourself in their shoes for a minute. I don't know what you do for a living, but imagine that part of your job was to take calls from customers about when they can expect delivery of their order. On your companies website it clearly says that the products you sell are hand made and it takes...

IRCC survey - Client Survey N

I think they sent this survey out with a shotgun rather than a sniper rifle. It wasn't hugely relevant to me either, but I filled it out and I hope they get some useful data from it and it helps them improve their services.

    January 2018 - Citizenship Applications

Hey, congrats! That's an interesting set of dates you've got there. I got my invite on the 6th, and my test is on August 2nd (Vancouver). Yours is slightly more compressed in time between your notification and your test date. Given that the Surrey office is only 45mins by train from the...

IRCC survey - Client Survey N

I should be clear that I’m not serious about this being tied to getting a test invite. While it was indeed spooky that I got the email so soon after doing the survey, I’m 100% sure that it’s just a coincidence.

Also, I got my test invite email the day after I filled out the survey. I really don't think that has anything to do with it at all....... but just saying...

IRCC survey - Client Survey N

Assuming you have the same survey I got (with the same subject), there aren't any questions about the immigration system. It's about your life in Canada, how much you knew about the services and systems available to new permanent residents at the time you became PR, and how (if at all) that...

Ha! After the false alarm survey email yesterday, I finally got the one I was waiting for today! So, my details for the tracker are: Test Invite: July 6th Test Date: August 2nd 87 days In Process at time of invite. Woo-hooo!

IRCC survey - Client Survey N

It's legit. The email comes from an @cic.gc.ca address, and the survey is hosted on voxco.com (check their clients page here - http://www.voxco.com/our-clients/ - scroll down and you'll see that the Canadian government has contracts with them in a number of departments).

    Nexus Card Question

I can't remember exactly because I did it a few years ago now, but I think I only had to put the months down and not the actual dates. I copied the details from my PR application because they basically ask the same question on that.
