It just says "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam", but I think something will happen soon because I got a "ghost email" on Friday morning and most people with AOR around the same date as mine have already gotten their medical results.

What about the Trillium Drug Program though? "The Trillium Drug Program is for people who spend approximately 3 to 4% or more of their after-tax household income on prescription-drug costs. To qualify for the TDP, you must: not already qualify for Ontario Drug Benefit (e.g. you’re under 65...

Yes, I have Crohn's disease and take Humira, which is a very expensive medication. My plan would be to keep paying for my country's national healthcare and bring 90 day supplies every time I or a family member travels. Does anyone know if family members who come visit you in Canada are able to...

When people pass medicals (or get a fairness letter), does it mean that IRCC has already checked other parts of the application (police certificates, proof of funds, job letters)? Thanks

Does anyone know the time zone and working hours for IRCC? If I got my ghost email this morning, should I expect a medical decision by the end of the day? Do they take longer for rejections / medical fairness letters than for telling people that they passed? Thanks

Congrats! I'm super tense because I fear I'm going to get a medical rejection due to my Crohn's disease which requires expensive medication. My plan is to keep paying for my national health care and travel periodically to pick up a supply, but I read that Canada only allows you to enter the...

I'm so worried though, because I'm almost certain I'll get a medical rejection or medical fairness letter. I have a disease that requires very expensive medication. My plan was to keep paying for my country's national health care and come visit twice a year to pick up a six month supply of...

Interesting! You've given me renewed hopes. Humira needs to be refrigerated at all times, though. How would I go about shipping it from Costa Rica to the US-Canada border? I'd love to hear from others who have used this strategy :) Thanks

That's super worrisome. It would mean that the only way to overcome a fairness letter is if you already have a job with a Canadian company... Do you have a link to the source? Thanks

Wait... They only accept company insurance??? Wouldn't home country or personal insurance be better since it's more stable? As in, if you get laid off you lose your company insurance, but if you're paying on your own or you're using your home country's national healthcare, the risk is way lower...

Interesting. In my case, the Costa Rican government healthcare covers 100% of my Humira. My employer and I pay a certain percentage of my salary to pay for the insurance. If I were to go to Canada, I would keep paying for the insurance independently in order to keep the coverage. My plan would...
