I'm at 57 days after AOR and still no medicals passed. I might be a special case though, since I strongly suspect I will receive a fairness letter due to the expensive medication that I take :(

How long after AOR are medical rejections / fairness letters sent?

Hi, I got AOR 52 days ago and haven't passed my medicals yet, while most of the people who got AOR around the same time passed their medicals a couple weeks ago. Does a longer wait mean that you're likely to receive a medical rejection or fairness letter? I am concerned about the latter...

So they process everything in parallel? I thought they first made sure there were no red flags with medicals before proceeding with the rest of the analysis. In my case, there is a risk of medical inadmissibility. I thought they wouldn't move onto anything else until that was sorted out. Thanks

Are you sure? I got UCIs several days ago and my medicals are still being reviewed.

I'm at 50 days post AOR and they're still reviewing my medicals :( I've been checking my application status at the IRCC website like a madman for the past couple of weeks. Do they always send an email when giving the medical results, or do we have to keep checking manually? Thanks

Except for the guy who recently got rejected because he submitted a Chilean PCC which was missing something, even though he technically didn't even need that PCC because he hadn't been in Chile for more than 6 months :O

I just got an email saying: "Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Some of the documents on our website are available to you in Portable Document Format (PDF) format." However, when I go to my application status, I don't see any new messages and the...

I'm applying under FSW - Outland, and it's been 45 days since my AOR. I'm still stuck at "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam." even though I got a ghost email last Friday. It's likely that I'm going to get a medical fairness letter due to the cost of my medication (which I intend...

HELP! Permanent Residency - Possible Medical Inadmissibility

Thanks for all the advice. I know that hiring a specialized lawyer is my best bet. It's just that what you're saying makes me think that I'd be wasting thousands of dollars since there's nothing they'd be able to do... :'(

HELP! Permanent Residency - Possible Medical Inadmissibility

Hmm, you might be right... I was reading that you don't really have to be low-income to qualify for Trillium. If I'm not mistaken, as long as the medication represents more than 4% of the household's income, you can apply. Given that Humira costs ~$20K a year, my wife and I would be eligible as...

HELP! Permanent Residency - Possible Medical Inadmissibility

But if the EAP is hard to get into, won't that actually benefit my PR application? As in, it would be very hard for me to get my medicines from the Canadian system, which means I won't be a burden on them.

HELP! Permanent Residency - Possible Medical Inadmissibility

What if I present an alternative plan such as continuing to pay for my national healthcare and traveling periodically to my country to pick it up? Also, I intend to land in Ontario and read that Humira is not in its regular formulary, only in the Exceptional Access Program. Wouldn't that work...
