I think the spreadsheet should be locked down.. somebody added credit card charge date in my row (my card hasn't been charged yet). And before that, somebody changed the App Sent and Received dates.

It depends on the bank. With one of my credit cards transactions are shown right away in the online statement. As soon as the card is charged, it shows a "pending" transaction. With another card transactions are only shown after they are "approved", usually 2-3 days.

I don't think there's any significant advantage for people in the GTA. I mailed my application from outside Canada by UPS express and it was there in the morning on January 2nd. The thing is, the courier decides what time to get his ass over there, whether it's a local courier shop or...

Most likely it's too late to mail it at this point. My suggestion for next year is to plan everything out. Start the paperwork early. Get all the forms filled out and supporting documents ready by mid-December. If your parents are not in Canada, figure out how to get their signatures because...

If I'm not mistaken, last year people started seeing their credit cards charged around 15th January. My memory could be wrong.. maybe someone else knows better.

If everything else is correct and nothing is missing, I think you should be ok. I doubt they would reject an application for such a small (and probably common) mistake. Don't worry about it...

The 5k limit won't be filled in a day. My guess is it will take a few days. Best of luck with your app!

If you're sending by courier (UPS, Fedex, Purolator, etc), use the second address. For regular mail where signature is not required, use the first address.

Re: Sponsoring Parents in 2015 "BAR CODE" I think the date is not part of the bar code because you can leave the date blank and still validate it. You can fill in the date by hand after printing...

Most people will probably mail in December so it gets there on January 2nd. CIC picked the worst possible date for accepting applications, just to screw with people's holidays lol

Don't have a link handy, but I think better to send the original NOAs (or Option C printout which you can get by calling CIC). I asked the same question but didn't get an asnwer. I put the amount for 2013.

Here's what I did.. I summed up the 3 years and divided by 36 to get a monthly average. Then you can get a rough ballpark for each position, just multiply by # of months. Unless your salary has changed wildly between positions this should be good enough.

Reposting my question about the "Minimum necessary income" (question 8 in IMM 5768). How did you guys answer this question? Should I just take the value from the Federal Income Table for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship in the guide and use that as the answer (i.e. $46,354 for 3 people)?

2nd Jan should be ok. I think they will only reject the package if they receive it before January.

So for Minimum necessary income we just pull the value from the Federal Income Table for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship e.g. $46,354 for 3 people? I'm curious why does CIC even ask this question if it's a fixed number? ??? They could just as easily look it up themselves based on family...
