<$100 short on my 2018 tax return for parental sponsorship

I wouldn't consider applying if I was 1000s of dollars short. I am $79 short, had I been employed I would have earned 2x what they were asking for. It is not my intention to ruffle feathers but I wish they would look beyond what is on your T4. I live in Vancouver BC which is very HCOL and was...

<$100 short on my 2018 tax return for parental sponsorship

Thanks for the link. Disappointing but I understand why they have minimum requirements. I will wait until 2021 and hope I meet the requirements for intake then. My mom is ~20 points shy of being eligible for EE too.

<$100 short on my 2018 tax return for parental sponsorship

Hey all, Due to circumstances I'm now a single sponsor for my mother - or I intend to be. Very relieved the 2020 pool is opening. I understand it's not a guarantee but I'd like to apply all the same. Problem is, I switched jobs in 2018 with a period of unemployment in which I did not claim EI -...

    May 2020 - Citizenship Application

I'm a UK/IRE dual citizen from April 2020 with no AOR. I have a MEX friend from Feb 2020 with no AOR, a PT/BR dual citizen friend from March 2020 with no AOR. I don't think this is about discrimination given we're all from vastly different countries with no AOR.

    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Yes, look at the tracker linked above for an idea of the process, of course this only includes forum members so not a true overview but a quick insight nonetheless. Many applicants from Jan-April still have not heard anything (including me, April 09 delivery) and IRCC have moved onto May...

PM ME UR REJECTION REASONS (Serious Thread)

Read the checklist. Read the form. Check the checkboxes. Another pair of eyes is good so ask someone else to check over it too. Take photos of your full application including backs of pages and envelope so you can look back on it and be 100% sure of what you sent whenever you do see "my...

    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Wow. That's interesting. Thank you for the info and for the kind response. I realized last night that I put "Ireland" as my birth country as per my preferred passport but for my PR I put "Northern Ireland" as my birth country so I wasn't sure if I created a problem for myself in that respect. I...

Citizenship test: Collective action required, or expect endless delays, years. Example of the effective lobbyng of people awaiting spousal sponsorship

Your judgement is absolutely unnecessary. Nothing about my post suggested what my situation is. I explained to another user why people are upset: employment factors and family reunification. You have absolutely no clue what my situation is so I suggest not jumping to conclusions mate.

Citizenship test: Collective action required, or expect endless delays, years. Example of the effective lobbyng of people awaiting spousal sponsorship

I know a few people that need it for work purposes and family reunification, which is perfectly acceptable. Anyone who has legitimate reason for needing urgent processing such as the above has the ability to request such treatment. For everyone else complaining I guess it's just a big...

    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Thanks for that info, gives me some hope! I was a bit nervous because I just submitted my college and university education as proof of english language abilities and everyone I talked to said I should have just done IELTS again to be on the safe side. I didn't want to wait though as COVID had...

CEC Inland + LMIA. AOR January 28th. I lost my primary passport, can I use my secondary?!

Hey so I'm a dual citizen. I made sure to add both passports to my PR application. My AOR was January 28th and medical cleared a few days after that... I haven't heard anything in 6 months so I decided to request my GCMS notes almost 4 weeks ago. Today I finally got through to an IRCC agent and...
