    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Got my fingerprints taken today. The lady said the wait time for Vancouver seemed to be between 3-5 business days for processing if you had no criminal record (I don't) right now.

Has Ontario even reached Step 1 of their reopening plan? I'd sooner believe they are no longer providing a 21 day test window which makes absolute sense - it is more efficient to name 1 date and time for participants so they can invite more people during a specific time frame.

    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Sorry for not clarifying - I was just checking the application tracker set up by this forum. It isn't a 100% view of what the local offices are doing, just of what forum users report back on here but if you look at the tab that compares locations you can see Vancouver is lagging a bit. The...

    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

I got asked for fingerprints today. Kinda sad it wasn't a test invite, but at least someone is looking at my file so yay!! I've never been asked for an FP request for any visas or PR so this is new. I will be going TODAY to get it out of the way. If someone could update my notes in the tracker...

    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Is this online or paper applications? I am seeing online applications getting test invites in the online thread and although on a personal level it is super f'in annoying- I can kind of see why they would be getting processed quickly since it was a pilot project that started with 5000 (I think)...

    April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

This week (16-23 Feb) someone from Canada Border Services Agency viewed my LinkedIn profile. I have never applied for a gov't job and have read that others going through the citizenship process have received a similar notification so I am hoping this is a good sign :D

So sorry for your loss. a) yes they are still processing, where is your local office? b) no one can accurately guess but it will be a few months from now, at least. They seem to be still going through late 2019. I think 1 or 2 urgent processing in early 2020 have been invited so far but they...

To my knowledge no 2020 applicants at all have been invited - have you seen anything suggesting otherwise?

    March 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

ECAS is just the tool you use to check your application status. Nothing more. AOR is acknowledgment of receipt. So Nov 13 is your AOR. IP is in process. This is the step after AOR and means they are actively working through your application.

    Gap between two WPs

I had a gap from Sep '16 to Jan-17. Didn't feel the need explain it, you're still a temporary resident on implied status. I figure they of all people would put 2+2 together. They did. AOR received.

No account linking for citizenship. The above link aka ECAS is the only way.

I haven't heard anything since January - have you?

Unfortunately the test has been cancelled as of March 2020 and there is no word on it being resumed. You can order GCMS notes to see if that is the only thing holding up your application. If it is, not much you can do except wait until tests are resumed.

Oh I see, well keep us updated! :) I ordered GCMS during the PR process as there was a long gap between them asking for an extra document and approval but my approval came less than 30 days later and before the GCMS notes had a chance to be generated. I would suspect there will not be too much...
