Why to avoid travel home country? I applied in March, travelled home country in September and received MR the next day after coming back. It doesn't matter if you travel or not.

Security is a part of background check. It can take from days to a year. That was cic agent told me when I called. I have a close timeline but my security is in progress now.

After my yesterday call to cic yesterday regarding the status of application I've got GU today in the account. At least they took a look into profile and added notes that I've called Kind of update :)
