It probably cancelled because the officer is no longer available for whatever reason. I don't think it is because of your particular application. You just wait for the next available date. I hope you hear back soon.

Yes they have but we have not received the passport back. We are still showing "in process". Docs reached there on Friday Nov 6th

when you get PPR, you will given instructions on where to send your passport. My husband is in Europe (pakistani citizen), and he was asked to send it to London. I would wait for further instructions.
