Background check in progress can stay like that forever, not sure if that matters... Its case to case.... I am a CEC applicant and I have not seen many CEC applicants on this forum... I have checked excel data from October and November aswell and it does not show CEC has faster processing I...

I have not done it myself as I have work permit until 2017 but it clearly states on the CIC website.

I think you can apply for bridging work permit if you have AOR - When you submit your application, you must provide all supporting documents listed in your document checklist. You must also include a copy of your Acknowledgment of Receipt letter from CIC...

You are a CEC candidate right ? I have read forums where everyone says that CEC candidates are getting their files processed relatively faster than other .... do you think thats true!!

The work experience has to be one year full time but doesnt have to be in one NOC as per new CEC express entry updates. It can be in different NOC's but it has to be full time, paid experience.

Hey , I have heard CEC is pretty fast !! You now have a clue why ittook a longer time for you ??? cz they requested IELTS or any other documents from you !!!!
