Mine is also at Ottawa and eligibility was recommended passed at CIO-S. I’m not from the US or Canada so it’s just a case of workload distribution maybe

In In fact I’m Oct 20 FSW and my file is also at Ottawa; this gives me some hope!

Being a Sep 20 FSW at Ottawa and having everything passed is a great sign, you just have to see through to the final stretch now. Relax!

I totally get the negative thoughts but there are thousands of applications in the pipeline. They conducted about 10 all program draws last year. Yes the pandemic stretched further thanks to slow vaccination but there’s no call to sit on in progress applications after most people are vaccinated.

Haha what?! That’s quite absurd. If that were the case they wouldn’t have begun processing the files from the 2020 draws. That would create a wave of backlashes. Yes, IRCC doesn’t owe us anything but clarity and accountability is expected when the restrictions ease

In progress applications aside, do you guys not think that this restriction on post 18 March 20 COPR holders is long in the tooth now? It’s starting to make less sense by the day because cases/variants are already on the rise despite such strict restrictions. And expired COPRs will only increase...

It was an official announcement by IRCC but there was nothing explicit about FSW/CEC

Quite possible. Even if the applications get fully processed before October 2021, I don’t realistically see FSW’s flying in by that time. Hopefully some of us could get extensions

6 months is their commitment, and that too was pre Covid. It’s not nice what they’re doing with FSW but they had to adapt and meet their targets. Hopefully 2021 will see the 6 month timeline come back

Any idea if they’ve shifted their whole infrastructure home? They did make an announcement saying they’re going back to pre pandemic processing

It’s normal. I’ve raised two webforms with same language, once I got a generic reply and second time specific one

It worked in Israel and the UK. Might be showing in the US too

There’s nothing like a highly skilled immigrant from abroad who just directly pops in and starts paying taxes from day 1. No school, no work permit hassles

There hasn’t been an FSW draw in almost 5 months now, that ought to have given them some breathing space. The ONLY way to clear the backlog is stopping ITAs but they have certain “targets” to achieve

Good progress. You should also check if it’s eligibility recommended passed or conclusively passed. Check the end notes and see whether there’s an officer stamp

You are absolutely right. I’ve seen no progress on my file since Jan 2021 and I’ve seen hardly 4-5 FSW on this website get to the final stage
