I think just waiting for IRCC to ask for it is quite risky. In India you can renew it 1 year before expiry and I guess that should be done, regardless of what IRCC says about it

Hi all, my passport is expiring in about 11 months and I can get it renewed now, any idea how long it takes IRCC to respond after raising webform for this? @legalfalcon

Any FSW-O new PPR updates? Vaccination pace is very high (over 900k jabs per day) but still no file movement :/

I’m sure Canada considered that before opening up the borders for COPR holders. So many students and other people come from India

I'm hoping for the same too. If outside immigrants are now finally allowed to enter there's absolutely no reason to not release the backlogged FSW files.

Sorry but I used your post to rebut this guy in the Nov 20 thread who's saying FSW will "resume processing in 2022 and not before": https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/november-2020-aor-join-here.708612/post-9487657

You may want to consider this in your assessment. An FSW-O got his security passed in March 21: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/october-2020-aor-join-here.704508/post-9488240 Me personally, per my GCMS notes from February, eligibility passed and secrurity...

    PPR delays due to covid-19

FSW processing could resume in August too, right? I'd say that would be a good time to start clearing the backlog

Canada administered over 500k doses today, including 300k second doses. If the border opening is indeed linked to the vaccine rollout we have much to look forward to.

My most recent webform response says eligibility and security is "valid". Should I also start misinterpreting valid as not passed or in progress? I do NOT believe that outland files have not been touched since January. That's quite absurd. I dont know when the PPR will come, but this I'm quite...

With case numbers dropping and 1st dose vaccination % approaching 70%, now would be a good time to clear the FSW-O backlog and send some clarity to applicants who have been waiting months without updates.

Hi, you can ask in the web form itself. Alternatively, call them or get gcms notes. Also my local VO should be New Delhi but file is currently in Ottawa
