If they are not in English or French then I would get them translated. It is never a guarantee they will be asked for, however, if you don't translate them and they do ask for them for verification, it's going to slow your application down while you wait and have them translated and get them...

    When to make mandamus?

Didn't you just send your application in October? Be patient and you'll see movement. Your particular office might be just a bit slower than others at this time, but they will catch up and when they do you'll see movement. Don't put the cart before the horse. :D

A Recent Case of H&C Appeal of a Misrepresentation Case that was Allowed

I just read this case. It would appear because the defendant returned to Canada long before all of the 'legal' stuff started that he was able to establish his life here therefore warranting a more compassionate view for his previous transgressions. I believe that if he would've remained in China...

Possibility of losing my dream job prospect if I do not receive my renewed PR card!

Does this job require travel? Maybe that is a reason they are asking for it? If it doesn't require travel then I am with the others here, your PR card does prove your right to work, your SIN does. If they are pushing for a valid PR to prove you meet the requirements, you can, of course, push...

Leaving with a visitor record without seeing immigration

I had a visitor record like that as well prior to PR and had to report to CBSA to have it updated on the stamped date. Not all of the records have 'notes' included. Most of them just a date in which the record is good until. If she has already departed, she could try calling and/or emailing the...

How protected person family stay with him before receiving the PR?

Your wife is subject to examination upon entry just like any other visitor. If her passport is not stamped then she will be allowed to stay for 6 months before she must apply for an extension. If she is already included in your PR application and listed as accompanying, she may remain in Canada...

You have your original client copy. IRCC has a photo copy of that. If you do NOT have your original CoPR then you need to get a VoS in lieu of that.

Apply for tourist visa because my canadian born son needs to go back to school in September

Depending on where you are from, it's possible that your PR application could be completed by September. I know they say 12 months, but anything is possible!

Citizenship Interview Took a Wrong Turn

I think that was in response not regarding the OP but regarding the person who used OP for a mailing address.

There was just an answer to this question in the 'windsor applicants' thread. The Oath letter, media release signatory (the last page of oath invite), PR Card and original CoPR.

    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Yes, perfectly normal. Children move at the same pace as parents applications, but they don't get updated in ECAS. He will take the oath with you and your wife, if you wish him to. Otherwise, they will give one of you his certificate. Congrats! :D

I understand that, however, it is only looking for the IMM1000 or the CoPR. Once upon a time ago, those documents used to be required perhaps it is an 'artifact' from that era? When I had my interview the IRCC officer specifically told me that all I would need is the CoPR and my PR Card. I...

The third request is ONLY for your Immigration Record or CoPR .. not all the original documents. Punctuation is important to note in that statement ;)

Living in another country, 'illegally' while we wait for papers

Go to a local post office and have his picture and all his paperwork done there. He does NOT need 5 pieces of ID all over 5 years old. I am unsure what you were reading or how you read it, but I can assure you, first or 15th the requirements remain essentially the same. All he needs is his long...

    Asylum Application

Not nice to hijack other peoples threads. You should start your own. Short answer is Yes, you MUST include your wife on your immigration application for Canada.

    Visiting, marrying and staying on

No, you won't need to mention common law at all if you are legally married.

    English mistakes

Very well written and quite understandable. I would however go ahead and alter the letter here on the forums to exclude the couples names.
