    FSW WORLDWIDE

This is something I don't get and would like to discuss. Doesn't personal history pertain to what you were doing as an occupation at the time? That is, if you were unemployed and travelling you MUST put it there, but if you were otherwise employed and took a weekend trip, that shouldn't be...

Would a recent ADR be indicative of anything at this point, or should our expectations still be in line with the 20something - 36 month expectation?

Just got a Schedule A request and PCC request! Need some wisdom from the veterans here. Perhaps @legalfalcon will shine his light on me? My AOR, as evidenced by the thread name is November 2020, which I turned in originally with my country of residence's PCC (Mexico). I moved to Europe in Feb...

The taking and then re-taking tests and re-doing medicals is definitely exasperating and I concur, a waste. I'm glad to hear you're killing it wherever you're at now though, irrespective of the situation regarding draws. I really like the thought behind the "You would've made those efforts even...

I understand the situation. Hear me out a bit. Since you still see it as part of your future, I'm pretty sure you envision some sort of life in Canada, maybe as a particular type of professional? It may come off as unsolicited advice, but I do think that what you do today will have an impact on...

Hang on, aren't Canadian citizens entitled to a TN visa too? What keeps people who immigrated permanently and became citizens from working for a few years in the US if they so desire, and coming back to Canada/their home country to retire after getting higher salaries?

I understand the frustration, hard not to feel it given the uncertainty. Happens to me at least! But hey, we're going through the process already. If we stick it out it might just resolve for the better. Here's to hoping for an immigration system that goes with the place.

Snow ain't that bad, shoveling a bit isn't past me even when I know I'll be complaining about it 95% of the time I'm doing it. Canada seems pretty welcoming, at least when I visited I felt pretty at ease. I don't personally seek the highest salary possible, since It's often in conflict with...

Isn't the whole point of immigrating permanently to Canada, you know, staying there? Am I out of the loop? I mean sure, housing crisis, low wages when compared to the USA (happens anywhere else in the world, really), but hey, still a pretty nice place, ain't it?

    Mexico City Visa Office

Yeah, Mexico VO isn't working on FSWs. Of course, it's anecdotal, but from what I've seen on the forum, it's mostly late 2019/early 2020 spousal sponsorships going through. May want to verify yourself, though.

EE post AOR pending COPR, QC short study stay

@legalfalcon Sorry for the ping. Any idea of what my approach could be? I'll be arriving to Montreal in August, as per exchange directives. In case my file hasn't been approved, would there be any issue (or benefit) with notifying IRCC once I'm in Canada?

EE post AOR pending COPR, QC short study stay

Dear forum members, I have an EE application with a November 2020 AOR. I am currently studying in a University outside of Canada and got nominated for a 6 month exchange program starting fall 2022 (Sept/Oct) in Montréal, QC, Canada. In case my PR hasn't been approved by then, which seems...

    Ray of hope - FSW - 1

That final statement really drives the point home IMO. Life post landing in Canada can already be rough as it is. Learning an additional official language or acquiring additional qualifications can only open additional, perhaps much needed, doors.

    Ray of hope - FSW - 1

That's a key takeaway, of course! It'll take time and absolute dedication, but if you're diligent about your studies, it can definitely be done concurrently with other "profile maxing" activities, such as acquiring more work experience or an additional degree. I'd even argue that at this...

Honestly, if anyone that already has a competitive IELTS score is still on the fence about Learning French as an "extra", the latest changes to how French is taken into account in the CRS points system should make it a no brainer. Personally, a B2 in French across the board pushed me to a...
