Hey! Not my experience at all. I passed a TEF first and TCF shortly after due to varying test date availability and scored roughly the same in both tests. Regarding the difficulty of the DALF/DELF, the point I was making was, taking a DELF/DALF exam before a TCF/TEF is a low overhead, low...

Hey, no worries. I did not get the "your action is required" message after I uploaded and clicked the "transmit" (or send, or similar) button for the documents requested in the ADR. Make sure you clicked that button! My profile was back to submitted/read. Exactly 40 days later my profile was...

This one is important. AFAIK, federal express entry does NOT accept DELF as a french test, although it's accepted for applying to Quebec directly, if I'm not mistaken. Therefore, for the sole purpose of boosting your application score, you MUST take a TEF/TCF test. These are performance based...

I am glad you found my message helpful! Indeed, when you take a liking to the french language, much like I did, learning will cease to be a hassle and you'll actually look forward to it. Funny how the mind works. I'm convinced you have the right attitude for tackling this challenge; slowly but...

Had a coffee break at work, saw the question and decided this would probably be the best use I could give the next 10 mins. Here goes my answer! The internet is a goldmine for free french resources. For starters though, I recommend getting a "feel" for the language. That is, actually mimicking...

Tried accessing my application and got the following message: "Application status is currently unavailable. Please try again later." I can still view IRCC correspondence though. Any ideas? Is the portal down for everyone? EDIT: Was just able to log-in, while I simultaneously got an email from...

That's the attitude we should all keep. Knowing a few of us are in the same situation brings me a weird sense of tranquility, all things considered. Nothing to do but keep on keeping on! Fingers crossed.

That's a little discouraging to hear, actually! There just may be a trend, yeah. Look at the following link for example: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/the-outlander-ppr-thread.744023/post-10083394 Approximately two and a half months from ADR to PPR...

There's some cases where this takes a lot longer, my file for example, took 40 days to be acknowledged and it's been two weeks since it was acknowledged with no additional changes. For what its worth, my medical was passed before acknowledgement, even.

That's the issue, I haven't gotten an acknowledgement/update/anything even remotely similar. Just radio silence. I sent fingerprints to the embassy they requested for the PCC they requested in the ADR and the shipper confirmed it as delivered on May 6th. They supposedly have a 30-60 business day...

Remedical Passed - Waiting for PPR - Let's Gather

Automatic remed passed on May 24th 2022! No additional exam required since the one provided in my original November 2020 AOR. Got GCMS notes in Dec 21' stating they were extended until the end of 22', perhaps? Hoping this indicates they'll try to finish my app before that.

Anecdotally, most French (from France, not the wider Francophone group) people I know that immigrate to Quebec usually do it with a job offer/prospect in hand. While I do not have the stats at hand I'm not entirely sure if they'd vary significantly, since learning French is a great asset for the...
