URGENT HELP REQUIRED - Proof of Funds Increased

You’re post AOR. Nothing to worry about here.

    The Outlander PPR Thread

Congrats! I felt that I had to comment on this one. First CIO Sydney PPR I’ve seen in a long while that does not have AOR after July 2021.

Not in the first draw, but 495 is pretty safe to get invited in a few months IMO. There’s simply not that many people who can make it above 481 without PNP. And unless something like mega CEC or out-of-nowhere TR2PR happens, draws should just continue.

FSW will resume in July, IRCC website has it. No NOC-specific draw was announced. I think they would have announced if they were going to do it.

Depending on how you reduced it, watch out for misrepresentation risks. Some ways aren’t legit.

My reference letter does not say full-time or 40 hours per week

I suggest doing whatever you can to convince them to put full time or concrete hours on the letter. You don’t to take chances.

No problem. You're not employer-sponsorship PNP, right? If that's right, your application once submitted has no dependence on your continued employment. Proving your experience that gave you eligibility and CRS is all you need.

Post-AOR you should be fine even if you were unemployed. Just to be safe, get all the docs you can about this job before you leave.

Can a current PhD student in Canada apply to FSW while studying?

Your part-time experience as a student might not count. As far as I know somehow it needs to be Foreign experience.

You docs just need to be relatively new compared with your AOR. So it depends on how quickly you can get ready to file. I would suggest thoroughly checking everything and never rushing it. Not sure about the pay slip. If your 2022 experience does not contribute to your CRS or eligiblility, then...

    Newbie starting with PR process

Look into Ontario’s tech draw which is your best fit for PNP. 468 has a decent chance to be invited through this channel. For “pure” FSW, 468 alone is likely not going to get you ITA soon, and given your age you cannot afford to just wait for the score to go down. There’s no telling whether FSW...

While folks are at it, I have a question: My PoF is in a “term account” (fixed-term savings) and has been there since before AoR. The “term” is 2 years and ends this October. When it ends the balance and interest will get auto-transferred to my checking account. Do I have anything to worry...

Think about the paper-based apps from like 2019, not 2022. These will contribute to the 2023 targets. :D

There are plenty of paper-based applications. Also I guess the quota is in persons but the invitations only count PA. PNP has been inviting at this pace since I learned about it (in 2020). The numbers are probably right.

I guess the key is whether you will (not) live in Quebec upon receiving PR through FSW. Traditionally people live and work at close proximity. Not living in Quebec right now would be a good start, and being able to move the base location of your job should also help convince the officer...

I think so. You job is not QC-only, so you are not tied to Quebec. Moving to another province will strengthen this point.
