Statistically not that many people submit in the first month from ITA. I was trying to submit as soon as everything was ready and doublechecked, and it still took 3 weeks from ITA to AOR because I had some non-English documents (including PCC) and because I ran into a public holiday right after ITA.

Yeah I just didn’t want someone to be like “but I saw this Feb 2021 PPR so quit whining”.

There’s the line where IRCC sticks to normal processing standard, and the line of backlogs. March-June 2021 AORs are essentially at the end of the slower line. I have no intent to compare waiting time with others or to seek empathy, just feeling bad at this matter of fact. To make things worse...

I think so. You’d be fine even if you went unemployed starting from Jan 2021. A job with different NOC couldn’t hurt.

Canadian citizen common-law partner "accompanying" on EE profile?

Your partner needs no Canadian PR. That’s “non-accompanying”.

    2021 AOR Winnipeg Visa Office

I didn’t get any email, but there was once some status like “application updated” instead of “submitted” when I logged into the portal. Nothing else changed inside the portal. Did anyone else get the same thing?

You don’t need a new PCC for countries that you’ve never been to since your old PCC. So typically just your country of residence unless you have been elsewhere.

Update from IRCC - most recent

You can. The city doesn’t matter.

OINP leaving the province because of better offer

The move would be questionable IMO. A parallel would be someone getting AINP and finding a better offer in Toronto. It's not just not lying about the intent but making a significant (by their standards) effort to stay. One month of job search might not convince them.

No all-program draw this week -> no all-program draw Q2? (speculation) -> PNP-only in Q2? (further speculation) Let's see if CEC draw happens tomorrow. Hopefully not but we never know.

:( I hope it doesn’t get as “prioritized” as 2021. Or I really gotta be prepared to have to go somewhere else.

PFL is serious and checks against misrepresentation. They are probably questioning your intent to live in Ontario.

I’m assuming that you do live in Calgary. Basically you need to explain what’s going on and help the officer make sense of the situation. For example, if you are on work status, you might want to demonstrate that you’ve been looking into jobs in Ontario but maybe your current status is...

I have prepared my documents for UK’s new work visa (HPI) program opening in ~1.5 months. Now it’s a race of getting PPR vs. packing up for England and updating CoR. Kind of desperate to at least secure a (work-able) visa out of my current CoR before it turns into another...
