Where's that news? I have friends doing an inland application right now, and they've been waiting over 30 days with no sign of activity.

They mentioned the other day that they're almost finished returning people to Canada. That should free up some resources.

Sure, they're still processing, but at a very slow rate. It's likely they concentrating on ones that are already in the system, and once staff start coming back (I suspect they've been re-assigned to the covid effort), the will start working on the new applications (like ours).

Probably not. It was just speculation on my part, because people can't finish their applications without biometrics.

No idea. My estimate went from 3-6 months to 6-8 months (if we're lucky). I don't get too stressed out over it actually. It'll happen. Just at a slower pace.

Looks like it'll be hard to do medicals and biometrics right now. Makes sense considering the situation with Covid-19. I'm fully expecting this process to take a bit longer.
