Anyone heard such case? My wife received test invite yesterday, she had not even started for preparing for it and since today morning her profile is stuck at "loading" page. As per posts on this forum, the profile gets stuck there only when you have oath coming soon. It surely not the case...

Try calling IRCC and ask the agent about the processing office.

Do you know which office is processing your application? If yes, drop an email to that office asking for status. If worked for me. I had not received any update for more than 1 year after AOR. So dropped an email and within a 2 weeks, my background check was marked completed. So no harm in trying.

Recently IRCC is not following the timelines given by them for most of the cases. But as I see you submitted your application in July 2022 and some prompt officer has already picked up your file, there are high chances that you will be able to reach the destination in next 4-6 months as they...

@wink , that worked... I dropped an email to the Scarborough office on 26-Jan asking for status.. and today the Background check was marked as Completed. So something got kicked, may be, because of the email.

Is anyone seeing a ghost update in their profile? I see date updated to 1-Feb but there is no actual change in any of the status. Just wanted to make sure it is not yet another system wide update.

Sometimes coming to this forum is so depressing. We see every other person getting some movement and even going to the final step of oath, and then I see my application being stuck at background completion. But can't help much. Only waiting is in our hand.

But if only those unopened cases got reassigned to new officers, why would other applicants see an update in their profile? I have not seen any person who has not got that update. I think it was some software upgrade on IRCC side which did some change which triggered system wide update.

45 months??? That's outrageous!!!! Have you tried reaching out to IRCC and your local MP? Your case is certainly out of their so-called "under normal processing time" and should get some attention of theirs.
