US green card and Canadian PR at the same time

I have both PR in US and Canada. I reside in the US, currently. My husband is Canadian and I was able to get my PRTD approved for Canada no problem. I've just submitted my PR renewal to Canada so we'll see what happens there. As for crossing the borders, I didn't have an issue going into the...

    PR Renewal Time after correspondence?

Hi there - I don't have an answer to your question, but I was curious. When you sent in your renewal application, did you ever get a confirmation letter or email? I sent mine in at the end of August, but have not received any notifications that they received it. Thanks!

UK Citizen with PR status back living in the UK

Hey there - I thought they only had single entry PR TD at the moment. How did you get a multi-entry TD? So you never ended up renewing your PR card then?

How long in CA before apply for new PR

I'm in the same situation. I should have read this thread first, my bad. I'm planning to fly back to apply, but do I need to provide any additional documentation to say why I want my card, if my residential address is in the US? Can I have it mailed to a Canadian address (mailing address)? I...

Renewing Canadian PR while in the US

Hi there - I got my Canadian PR card back in 2012 and it is now going to expire in 2017. While I have met my residency requirements, I moved to the US in the summer of 2015 to live with my husband, who is a Canadian Citizen. With the new regulations, I'm not sure how I can renew my PR card. I...

    Confirmation of Permanent Residence Form

Hello there, I was recently made aware that we were to have kept the CoPR form if I wanted to get married outside of Canada. When I landed, I was informed that I would only need it until I received my PR card. Normally I would have kept it with me, but unfortunately it sustained water damaged...

    LMO Need help

Sibran, as long as you apply within the last two weeks of your PGWP expiring, you will be okay. Just make sure you remember to contact to let them know your LMO is already in process. That being said, the LMO shouldn't take longer than a month (mine came in exactly a month after applying).

    LMO Need help

The processing time for a LMO shouldn't be too long. I was waiting for the status of my PR CEC application and had my employer submit a LMO.. it came back within 1 month of applying.

can someone explain the flagpole landing procedure to me?

I think what they mean is that when you go across the border, there is no Canadian immigration booth that you have to go through but only the American immigration. The American officer can just turn you around with a slip for the Canadian immigration when you cross the border back into Canada...

    Got my PPR today!

hmm.. I'm from a visa exempt country too, but didn't get the option to send in photocopies... If you don't want to photocopy all the pages in your passport, I would at least photocopy all the pages with any stamps on them + the biodata page.. I think on the application guideline, that's what...

    Got my PPR today!

Does it say that you can send in photocopies??? I sent in my original passport and the response time was really quick (2 weeks exact). Also if you're based in Canada, they don't stamp your passport with a visa anyway... so I guess if it says that you can send in copies, then go ahead? You won't...

    LMO submission

I dont think you need anything else. What I did was provide my VP of HR with the link for a LMO and she took care of the rest. I don't think it matters if it's the HR administrator or manager, but if you want to be on the safe side then have the HR manager apply for you.

Any one Got PR in June 2011 batch???

If you applied from within Canada, your passport won't have any visas or stamps on it.. They have just recently changed the process so this is normal.. All you need is your CoPR papers and make sure your information on there is accurate

How long to get the passport back

Jeff - maybe you should send an inquiry to ask.. Ditty - not sure if it was written in the letter they provided you, but mine said to specifically the office that was processing my application (Detroit) because that was the only office that could issue you your visa.

Sample Timeline – PGWP to PR through CEC

Hi Sibran, If your PGWP is valid for 3 years, you won't be able to extend it any longer. You'll have to apply for a new work permit for your employer, and you will need a LMO. If the LMO application is already in process and your PGWP is expiring, they advise you to submit your work permit...
