I keep seeing that security screening can take up to 9 months. It seems they haven’t even started mine (that’s what IRCC call center told me). I’m already on year 2, so I guess it’ll take more than 23 months :(

nope. The second page just discussed how they would process this request etc. nothing useful. Also, no no wordings related to 'in progress' or 'finished'. Total waste of time.

Got CSIS notes in the mail: "Security Assessment: a search of this bank was conducted and no personal information concerning you was located." ..I don't think my application has been started yet. Despite being 'in progress'...

lol - just called. My file is at CPC-Sydney.... I don't think thats a local processing office is it.

how do you find out? I've only received AOR. I had emailed my MP and he mentioned that my file is located in the sydney office, but I live in BC though?

another week goes by with no update. I'm losing faith in my application even being touch this year as Im well into year2 now. Unless of course one day they look at it and the process wraps up within a few short months but thats major wishful thinking. Has anyone who is also waiting like me...

I did ask about criminality/security screening and the agent just said nothing has started yet. I don't even know if CBSA notes is worth it at this point. This is a terrible process.

I think you meant to reply to someone else. my BG check is still in progress(not sure about criminality vs security) nor have I done the test :(

my AOR was feb8/22 absolutely no update from them whatsoever since then. Next week itll be 1 year. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

seems next week will be one year since AOR, no updates. Hopefully they pick up these old applications soon.
