well my MP told me one thing and IRCC call centre agent told me another. Now I dont know who to believe, leaning towards the call centre agent (sadly)

Makes sense. However, there’s no guarantee it’s only 2-3 months to withdraw :/. I can almost ensure it’ll be much longer.

I just called the IRCC call centre to confirm what my MP emailed me. Agent said my file is still in Sydney… so either they don’t know what’s up or my MP is lying.

Gotta hang in there, I've thought about withdrawing and reapplying too. But the thought of these slowpokes taking 6+ months to confirm withdrawal just so i can apply again might not be worth it. What I mean is, I may as well stick out 6 months in limbo in hopes of progress than 6 months of...

The fact that your background check is done is quite different to us though. My background check hasnt even started according to GCMS notes from Dec12.22

In the same boat as you - let us know what you decide to do. Its a shame GCMS notes take forever, it would be interesting to see if anyone else with that same user has seen any progress in the past.

I've found the 'easiest' way to get any meaningful info is from the MP. Others may say the opposite so YMMV.

I dont follow this, are you referring to the ATIP IRCC notes that don't include any security screening activities? Or CBSA?
