So whats the next step now even GMCS notes doesnt say anything? it says everything passed but the security still not started and the due date seems to be was January 2019 for the security. Any way we can escalate?

first they themselves delay the application and now worry about the expired medicals.. :|

yeah called them so many times.. always the same response.. wait wait wait!! they dont have anything that they can see is required or delaying the application... I applied for the GCMS notes on July 22 and received it today.

Got GCMS few minutes ago.. Medical - passed(expired) Eligibilty - passed Criminality - passed Security- not started ( I believe) but has passed the due date. What else is there to see or do now? Damn it its almost 22 months now!

Not sure if you dont hold a job currently, do they still extend your work permit. Any comments people?

I guess there are methods and reasons to apply for open work permit but still its an additional cost after waiting for almost 2 years. and the extended work permit if I am not wrong would be for another year.

Hopefully this new bill doesnt impact the existing CSQ holders. I have so many friends who have applied for Express Entry and gave up their hope for the CSQ. I hope my situation doesnt come to that. In the 21st month of waiting now for PR.. Work Permit expires in January... I dont want to be...

Yup October 04, 2017. Last time I called them, which was just around 12 days ago, the representative said that security is clear but the background hasnt started yet.

I believe we share almost the same timeline.

Same thing for me. Before it used to be medicals have passed and now it changed to " You do not need a medical" . My medicals were also done last year in May and updated to passed on May 18, 2018. Inland applicant. applied in October 2017.

Same thing for me. I had applied on October 04, 2017.. It was 13 months at that point which moved to 15 Months afterwards and then 20. When I finally crossed 20 months and was holding on for the PPR any day, the status was updated to Taking longer than the regular time.. Today it again says 27...
