By lot of folks, do you mean 2020 applicants? That is good news! Considering they are still working on March 2019 applicants due to COVID excuse per their website. We may not have to ruin another year of our lives then it seems.

Yes I agree. I don't think at this point, they will return all applications and refund all the money since our economy is already troubled due to COVID. Even if they do, what is the worse that will happen, we will not get Citizenship now but we will get it later. They cannot say we will never...

I read in one of their article that Citizenship processing is amongst their last priority. Guess the fee is not high enough for them to actually bother with it lol.

This would only work if they cared. They have COVID mask now to hide their incompetence. Sure little kids can go to school but God forbid an immigration officer get COVID, government will never forgive themselves for not keeping them safe.

I believe folks mentioned it is an email from @CIC without any changes to the In Process status or any additional lines on ecas.
