I sent my Canadian passport, Canadian Citizenship certificate and cancelled Indian passport as originals because the BLS in Ottawa require these originals to be sent. COPR was not needed, but I included a self-attested photocopy just to be safe. Good luck :)

If I were to guess, it would be hard to use the OCI as an address proof in India if it the country and postal code is missing. One would think that after spending over 400 bucks, MEA would be a bit more proactive in getting the address right. :(

I wonder how long the next step will take. In other words - going from 'Processed' to 'Dispatched from MEA'. Is this an automated process where a batch of files get dispatched at a time? Thoughts fellow OCI applicants?

My BLS status is the same after I received my original documents - Application Status - Dispatched via Courier. This is not the status for the OCI card. Its the status that I saw after my original documents were dispatched following 'verification'. My OCI portal just says processed. Its has...

I highly doubt it. Unless there is something serious like a criminal record, the application should not get rejected. This is just a verification / processing step and it takes time.

Hey Ottawa applicants. Please check your OCI Status. Mine finally shows processed. It has not been dispatched yet. But feels good to finally see some progress. :)

Where did you get this info? Does this mean that OCIs will be delayed too? Its beyond disappointing to see this kind of treatment to applicants from Ottawa.

2 - 3 months from the acknowledgement date?

When I see OCI applications from Toronto, Vancouver and also major US cities, they seem to be getting processed within a month. I wonder what is going on with Ottawa applicants. I am tired of checking my application status on the OCI portal 10 times a day. Really sucks to be waiting for this...

Similar situation. Date of Acknowledgement: May 25th. OCI still says 'under process'. However you being a Toronto applicant will likely hear something soon. Ottawa applications are the slowest to be processed :(

Similar situation as you. Ack date of May 25th. Waiting for an update on the OCI portal. Another applicant on this forum is in a similar situation with similar timelines. Its hard to predict how much longer this is going to take.

Maybe that's why we are seeing delays. The Indian mission in Canada was busy with yoga and now they need a few days to recover from being sore :D . Just kidding :)
