Exactly 1 week (7 business days) passed, still nothing from both applications, (TRV & spousal sponsorship application, which I got pre-arrival email 2 months ago) ☹️

Yes for TRV there is a different process, I think spouse gets a WP once he/she landed in Canada, under this new process.

Spousal sponsorship applications don’t require a work permit, they anyways get to work full time once their PR is approved. Just apply for a SIN, when PR process is done.

I didn’t show any home ties, this new stream is to reunite family members so I don’t think it is necessary to provide home ties, also they issuing a WP for spouse under this, so why should I show home ties to them

BIO yes it is showing, but not the medical (not expired yet).

It asked when you planing to enter to Canada and when you going back. I don’t think we have to submit bio & medical again, bcz we have already submitted those with spousal application.

Hey, yeah it automatically integrated with GC key account, but I am not sure whether they will process within 30 business days. This new TRV portal didn’t asked for many details either, it only wanted marriage certificate, NIC, passport copy, financial statements, parents details, work history...

Any updates? It is being a week for me and nothing shows in the tracker yet ☹️

I cannot link my TRV application to GC key account, it is showing in PR tracker though. Hope they will process it within 30 business days.

So we gotta pay $200 and apply for a TRV now as well....LOL :)

Seems like PA should apply for this new TRV thing through new portal or GC key a/c. Hope they do not require a new police clearance certificate for TRV, one I submitted for my spousal application is already expired (passed 6 months).
