    March 2022 - citizenship applications

Even if you find out where the file is, there's not much you can do. IRCC just doesn't care enough to do anything about it. What I heard from an IRCC staff was the processing time is 24 months so any inquiries beforehand would just be referred to look at the processing times. If you have an...

Regarding Delayed Applications - Possible Reason

Can you imagine you being employed to run this organization and the board finds out how inefficient you are. Never meeting service standards, never addressing customer complaints, lack of accountability, taking 2 years to train staff to use computers and so on. Do you think you'll keep the job...

Citizenship Application redirecting to other addresses

Nothing to worry about. It happens every time. Only the receiver, IRCC, can redirect the mails. It could be just because of processing or storage capacity.

    Passport Application Question

But do they have a certificate of citizenship or certificate of naturalization in their possession? I can also see where it can be confusing, but looking at what they have with them can help

    Passport Application Question

Which certificate did you receive when you got your citizenship? If you got it through immigration, then they fill in certificate of citizenship. If you got it through your parents and was born outside Canada, then put certificate of naturalization. Sometimes the right answer are the most obvious .

    Citizenship Interview

Presently there are a few persons that have received their oath right after the interview. The few cases were backlog applications. So the person can be lucky to have both at the same day.

Doubt about Record of Employment with incorrect occupation

Nothing to worry about. They are only checking where you were and what you were doing during the period before your citizenship application. So you'll just fill in that you were working at a specific job. I don't think junior or senior or just software developer means anything to them. They just...

Even right now, it's almost even with virtual having a slight edge, It actually takes them more time and resources to do Virtual as opposed to in-person. And next year they'll do more in-person. I'm sure they'll not want to deal with another barrage of emails and phone calls from people asking...

    GCMS notes delaying the application

The thing is if IRCC processed applications on time or at least provide clear updates about applications then people will not resort to GCMS notes just to get details about their application

    May 2022 - Citizenship Applications

Was this an online application? You can always try to call or email to "speed things up" the worst that can happen is they ignore or say no. You can travel whenever you want, just be prepared to come back for the oath, they are moving most oath ceremonies to in-person. Not sure I understand your...

    GCMS notes delaying the application

I have heard in the past that IRCC suspends processing for 30 days while the GCMS is being processed, but I've never heard any confirmation yet until now. I guess anyone who is applying for GCMS in the future should take this into consideration.
