If they have visa for Canada, there will be no effect in PR visa processing due their visit and stay in Canada.

In normal processing speed of CPC-M, your parents must have PPR before May. If they already have visas, I think there will be no difference for them to come here. That means even if PPR comes after they are here you can submit passport from Canadian address.

Having missed the place of birth entry is a minor mistake from them. You can send the webform to get it corrected. Even that may be added by the CBSA officer during entry. You can call the CIC call center whether it can be done during entry.
