People who applied months after you already received citizenship because their files were not sent to this office. This office is a joke, maybe they get bonuses for accepting too many files even if they fail at doing the rest.
Send emails to the addresses that sent you the test and oath invitations. Type "Last Name - Application Number - URGENT CERTIFICATE ERROR" in the Subject. Web form is useless.
I don't think they will contact you. Tell them how unfair it is for your file to be sitting at CPC-Sydney while people who applied after you already completed citizenship tests, some even received oath invitations.
Received a personal phone call telling me that my "application is not considered as urgent" it will go through normal course, and currently things are being processed quickly as they have standard processing times.
It would have been faster for them to verify my Language Skills than...
It seems that when journalists make ATIP requests, they receive them really quickly. Has anyone tried choosing the option that says you are the Media when making an ATIP request?
These people sitting on years old files and they don’t have the brain cells to realize that maybe they should stop taking more files so other offices can process them in a timely manner.
There is no clear timeline. It depends on your citizenship office. If it is London or Scarborough, expect to wait months while they take on more files than they can handle and/or "work" at snail speed.
Some people who applied on paper have their background verificationd completed by CPC-Sydney within days. The rest is the important shit and delays depending on how lazy your local office is.
I learned that they declined my urgent processing request. So CPC-Sydney accepts my request, completes my background verification, sends it to these people who is not even my local office, and they say no. What a joke.
Tell them you are not comparing your application to other applicants; you are comparing Scarborough office to other offices and that they are a failure.
Don’t get your hopes up by looking at those due dates, as these hard working officers do not care about them, and they even let some people’s background checks expire after 1 year instead of completing the files.
