If you send an email to any address that ends with .gc.ca, it goes to the Canadian government, and @cic.gc.ca is the hard working IRCC. Sure, this government has had many ethics violations, but they are not trying to scam you out of your passport pages!

:rolleyes: No. They are sending citizenship tests to people 9 months after applying online meanwhile paper applications already got citizenship! I completed the test and have been waiting 105 days with no progress after that.

In May, some officer from Scarborough called me, told me that my file is “not as urgent” and it will be ”processed in due time.” I have the officer’s direct phone number from that call, maybe I will call and ask if they forgot about my file. :mad:

“We are in the process of completing the review of records responsive to this request. I am hoping to have a response to you by the second week of September.” :mad:

It is NOT a requirement. If you inform them, they will put it on your file that you are unavailable and say “huh, we were already doing bare minimum work, and this applicant is outside the country, no need to work on this file at all right now, Thank you applicant!”

Fake. Fingerprints are only requested for criminal record checks within Canada, not in other countries, therefore has nothing to do with being outside of Canada any length of time.

No. I saw a short video of a parliament session; they said that they retained more than 90% of the passport staff during covid. Just like my other ATIP request where it shows Scarborough did not lose employees, yet became much slower. There is no staffing shortage at the government as they were...

I received ATIP statistics about passport applications. January 2020: 257025 total applications, 233944 approved. May 2022: 236091 total applications, 168605 approved. Meaning, passport applications did not increase; the reason for the delays is that they became lazier as they were getting...

As far as I know, some people and families still cannot apply online, even though the IRCC road map showed that they were going to open it to everyone by this time. There is no accountability, just delays and excuses.
