In the good old days, when tracker used to work normally (like a year ago), yes - it used to update on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hopefully, everyone's tracker start showing updates every week and all of our applications gets processed quickly.

It simply means that CIC officer opened your file today and perhaps either reviewed it or took some action towards processing your file. Its definitely better than your tracker being non-active for more than 6 months! So pls chill and relax and be patient...someone's working on your profile.
