2018 Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications: timeline and updates

If you planned to get married before landing, you need to inform CIC and add him to your application. Your COPR will be invalid once you get married (COPR is issued when you are single). He will need to go through medical and criminal check...etc. (just like when you applied for PR) This is...

    Conjugal Relationship

Getting visitor extension to become common law partner is relative common. As long as you stay as a visitor and not work nor study during that period of time, I don't see anything illegal.

You are PR of Canada? Citizen? Or on work permit to start working in Canada? You should check with your employer if you will be on work permit. This is also not the right section of the forum. This section is for PR or citizen sponsoring their spouses to become PR.

It doesn't matter where she will get her health exam, you will need to pay it out of pocket. I do not think extended benefit will cover health exam for immigration.

    Parents and grandparents Sponsorship 2018

They just want to announce about their "progress" in spousal sponsorship. Again family reunification is about spouse and dependent children. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2018/02/spouses_being_reunitedmorequicklyincanada.html I don't think anything new...

    Sibling sponsorship

Exactly as what you've quoted. If your parents are alive, you could sponsor them. So she cannot sponsor someone else (e.g. sister or brother) as "other relative". If you are 21 or younger, and not married or in a common-law relationship, you can be listed as dependent if she choose to sponsor...

    Pr residency obligations

They start from your landing day (Jan 2016). RO is 730 days for rolling 5 years. That means after jan 2021, on any day counting back 5 years, you needed to be physically be in Canada for minimum 730 days. You should NOT renew your PR card unless you have met RO. You do not need a "valid" PR card...

    Spousal Sponsorship

It depends if she can get a visitor visa to come to Canada. If she can proof strong tied to her current country of resident, and has good travel history, she may be able to get a TRV. Then she can join you in Canada and get married here. She will need to apply for extension for her visitor...

Giving Birth In Canada As Tourist. Procedure and cost ?

I also heard that some hospitals in greater vancouver area are not taking in patients for child birth if both parents don't have PR/citizenship/other valid work/study permits. They are over capacity already.
