I have military experience but CEC applicant .. got my PPR a few days ago :)

Each case is different. Even though 80% get resolved within 6 months some are stuck for further investigation or any other possible reason. If 6 months have passed you should contact CIC for feedback.

I was LMIA exempt for the temporary work permit (NAFTA agreement) but for permanent residence I was required to get one. They did not recognize my job offer without it. I am not sure if there are LMIA exempt jobs for permanent residency. You may have to look into it in more detail. Hope this...

I believe you need to click on view submitted application in MyCIC at bottom of page. IT should have a space/option open to upload additional documents. On my PPR I had to send the email with the passport photocopies and photos but I am in Canada already.

I am just going to bullet point what others have said with a bit sauce from myself: I have met to many recent "visitors" coming to Canada to check things out with the hope to stay, many of them working illegally: * If you get caught working you will be deported with minimal to zero chances...

There are instructions in the PPR email of where and what you need to send :)

You should have received AOR shortly after submitting your application. (AOR = Acknowledgement of receipt) If you got the above email it just means your file is under review. Not sure why you would need to keep AOR. It just confirms that CIC has accepted your application .

The rule of thumb is they do not want to accept people with medical conditions that would become a burden on the health system of Canada as health care is more or less free here. If that was the case many people would take advantage of the system to emigrate here just to receive free health...
