I don't think it is a good indicator (BG Check) some are only for hours and some for months. Keeping fingers crossed the waiting will be over soon! :)

Did the same thinking it would help in the decision. I do not think it makes a difference on the time it takes to process the application.

Not so sure about processing time. I used to travel a lot to many different countries for work. They may be searching each country for security? >:(

Up to now they say 80% get approved within the 6 months so chances are good.

Hi I suggest you contact them. If an institution is not recognised I am not sure what you can do about that. I believe the actual institution may have to contact WES to be acknowledged. Do not let them get away with things there. They are very sloppy in their work. My personal experience...

Is there anything for people already here with work permits? Many of the items do not apply. Most of us will either as I understand have to do the flag-polling or go to a local CIC office via appointment to complete this step.

I would suggest you contact them (CIC) directly for accurate information or an immigration professional. Logic says that if he is not accompanying you then I do not see a reason to pay for him, but i reiterate .. reach out to cic and get advise from them.

I may be wrong, but if they are asking to pay for the right of landing fee at this point you most likely are either approved or you will both be approved based on the information you have provided.
