Most of the times it happens but it is not always the case. Medical kay baad bhi refusals aatay hain. Just pray that we all get visas on time. :-X

I will advise you against it. Just make a strong SOP and you are good to go. :)

Your SOP should be on a plain paper and it must be properly typed and formatted (to make a good impression :P). About your second question, you do not require anything from your friend in written form because only blood relatives are allowed for sponsoring if that is what you meant.

I am also from Lahore. I sent my passport on 7th November and received medical call on 27th November. I called the IOM office on 28th Nov and they booked my medical appointment for 3rd Dec. About the fee, it is Rs 3550 for total medical examination. And mate, they only book appointments on...

Hmm... That is strange. Me and my friend recently had our medical exam (3rd and 4th Dec) and we booked our appointments on the phone. They put you on hold quite a lot but you have to keep trying until their representative picks up. By the way, in which city are you residing?
