@canuser No, my spouse has never travelled outside the country. We are hoping any day now to get the email for PPR.. I think it is the medical results that are holding up the application.. it can take 1-2 months for our VO to get results. The haven't asked for a new police check or anything...

This wait for medical is normal for some VOs.. We applied early July 2017 and got medical request December 20th 2017. Don't worry.

They should start your background check soon, fingers crossed!

Ya, hard to tell. You can always send them a short email to make sure.

Does it say anything in your ecas? Like "we sent you correspondence on [date] ..." ? If not, wait a few days to see if you get an email. They may have flagged that they need more/updated info, but have not sent the email yet.

Of course it is important.. but please, it is not groundbreaking. From the beginning one could see that it would complicate things to send these items are varying points in the process without guidelines as to when they will ask for them (given that they expire and can take long to obtain)...
