You can raise a CSE (don't have to upload document, just explain that you are getting married) or reply to the PPR email. I did both things to be sure they got it.

Get the PCC before marriage. No harm, you will have it ready when they ask for it.

After this email I got another email to send my passport and COPR for cancellation at the embassy. I send it back through VAC mail, the same way I sent it for stamping. After that MyCIC account got updated and had new slots for uploading required docs.

Your visa is valid one year from the date you passed medicals. You need to inform CIC about marriage before that. But you have to actually get married before informing them. Do all the things as earlier as you can not to push it to the last enter date on your visa.

You have the marital status written on the COPR. So you have to return the COPR, add your wife and get fresh COPR. You must notify CIC if your status change before landing.
