Just looking for someone else's thoughts. Do you think if you have had for instance and IEC work permit they would already have some kind of background check on your file and it may therefore be quicker than if you hadn't applied for another permit? Or do they start from scratch regardless?

If you go to https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do We were able to log in on the sponsor side with the UCI and on the applicant side with the application number

I'm sure you will be fine, if you meet all the requirements there is no reason for a decline :) It's hard not to worry about everything with this process though!

You're welcome :) We were hoping for Ottawa too as they seem to be much quicker at processing at the moment! We are actually both in Canada as I was lucky enough to get an IEC working holiday. What about you and your partner?

It will go to London Visa Office although there is a chance it will be sent to Ottawa (I'm also from the UK and mine was sent to Ottawa). They will confirm which office it is sent to when they give you the SA letter

I was able to link mine 8 days after they received it, but it's all about getting that lucky combination! I was trying for a few days before that as you only get 5 attempts in 1 day
