From the tracker spreadsheet, it looks like Oct applications have not been processed. Almost all September applications are complete except for a couple. I am an Oct applicant too

@rishuaj and @celix24 How exactly is the new passport influencing things here? You would have only sent them a scanned copy during your application stage right? I dont see why that would trigger a background check. All they need is proof of legal status in the country of application. I m not...

I believe we can send to any office. I gave biometrics in NYC as well, but plan to send PP to LA. And yes, I will keep you posted

Congrats. If your visa expires next week and it takes 8-10 days for the passport to come back to you after stamping, do you risk overstaying? I might be in a similar situation and wanted to know if overstaying by 2-3 days is okay

Ok and your old permit expired? It is usually granted for 3 years right? Just making sure your new application is not conflicting with the old one

Ah that sounds good. I had the same question too. My H1B might run out before I get my PPR. In that case I will have to leave to India. I didn't want to be in a situation where I need to leave and my passport is sitting in one of the US VACs. So if it gets too close, I will probably go to India...

Got it. Looks like some people gave biometrics 3-4 days after their application submission date. Wondering how they pulled that off

@NBD1312 Were you guys able to walk in for biometrics (with a BIL of course). The appointment times are currently the biggest roadblock for me.
