It is interesting how CIC is sticking to actual timeline of 12 months (looks doubtful now) for CEC applicants. 3 of my friends applied under FSW even though eligible for CEC in August and September last year, 2 have already got PR (landing process to be completed) and one got passport request...

Spoke to CIC. If CIC has not mentioned anything about spouse or dependents in the RCMP check request, only the principal applicant has to get the RCMP check. Regards, Harsha

I was going through the timelines for applications under FSW category. Even though the processing times is twice that of CEC applications, quite a lot have received PR within 6-8 months. Why no such luck for CEC applicants?? :(

Hey.. My birth certificate did not have my name on it but my credit card was charged couple of days back which means it should be ok. Lot of birth certificates issued in India do not carry names.

My credit card balance is reduced by 1100 (Wife and me). I hope this is from CIC. I will confirm tomorrow.
