    BOWP flagpole for spouse?

I recently was issued a BOWP (took 60+ days) and was wondering if it's possible to obtain an open work permit for my spouse via flagpole? Obviously it would not have been possible to obtain my BOWP with this method, but is it possible for spousal work permits? The reason I didn't apply for my...

    RECENT BOWP APPROVALS - Timeline

I got an email saying there had been an update made to the application, and to check the mycic site to read about it. There has been no accompanying letter or email explaining this fact. My MyCIC account just says that my application has been approved, and is now closed.

Other than the line about medicals being received, there have been no other updates to my ECAS status. Cheers.

Thanks Kiranmayi. Yes, online status now reads: "Medical results have been received." It's a nerve wracking process, to be sure!

    July - 2014 Applications

Medicals were done on April 7 and on April 14 ECAS updated with medical results received. Unless one gets a call from the examining doctor's office saying there was something amiss with the results of the exam/lab work/x-rays, can one assume that he or she 'passed' the medical exam? This...

Hi All, I've got a question about leave of absences and notification of CIC. A relative recently became ill, and I took a temporary (6-mo) leave of absence from my employer in order to be with them. I'm still employed by the organization - I still receive health/dental benefits, though I'm...

    July - 2014 Applications

MR received for me and my spouse on July 24 (finally!). Please update the spreadsheet. For all other early July applicants who are still waiting for MR - good luck! I'm July 4, so I definitely understand how painful the wait can be.

That's unfortunate. I haven't contacted CIC yet, though I did apply for GCMS notes last week. The delays ARE annoying, though I'm also of the opinion that "no news is good news." Hopefully our apps will move forward soon!

    July - 2014 Applications

Congrats Pepperlee! My situation is similar to yours (App filed on 04-07-2014, AOR received 22-08-2014), so hopefully my MR will arrive shortly. I'm trying not to get nervous and let my mind jump to negative conclusions, but it's hard! I'd rather not apply to GCSM notes if I don't have to.
