I always cross at the Windsor tunnel, they are the best! I had a bad experience at the Windsor Ambassador bridge and ever since I only cross at the tunnel. In November they gave me a VR which made crossing while my app processed so easy, no questions besides what are we bringing back and forth.

When I look closer too it's my old married name and passport number. I'm going to go to the border today and try and see if they can fix it and let me land. I hope if it works I won't have issues getting my SIN number tomorrow and applying for OHIP. What a mess!

Where do you find a number? Found an 800 number but only open M-F. When I cross I usually have both my old and new passport with as when I was given my VR to live here while my app was processed CIC hadn't updated my name yet so CBSA listed my new name in my VR and my old name in the notes...

I will give it a try, the COPR has my old passport number listed as well. In the instructions (now that we read them) say any name or passport number discrepancies need to have the COPR mailed back to Ottawa to be corrected.

YAY!!!! I'm so so happy for you! They promise mine was mailed Tuesday but now I'm worried it is coming in my old last name as today ECAS now shows my old last name not married like it has until today. It's never ending screw ups with CIC.

I figured the tax guy we talked to was wrong! Thanks so much for the info! I'll look at the IRS site and get the forms and mail them off next week. Apparently I'll file US taxes until I die ;)

Ok, now I know CIC has lost it. In January on ECAS they updated my last name to my married name and now today when I log in its back to my previous last name, 6 days after DM. I wonder what name will be on my COPR?! SMH.
