Thanks so much OhCanadiana. My initial thought is to proactively redo the medicals but possibly wait a little longer until the week of their expiry just in case by some miracle we are approved. I have ordered our notes and are expecting them at the beginning of March so that might help shed some...

Farfelu did your wife get asked to do new medicals because they expired or did she just do it on her own because she knew they were expired? Our medicals will expire 03/13/2013 so I am wondering if we should be pro active in getting new medicals in march or should we wait untill if/when they...

Does anyone have any experience with changing their address (address of the applicant) while their file is still in process (address changing from one mexican state to another)? Any thoughts on if it would cause a delay? Also would you do it through a case specific enquiry? and do you think you...

I think bttmntl hit it bang on.. I had an immigration consultant and would highly recommended you don’t get one.. you will save yourself thousands and no one will work harder on your case than yourself Depending on your case and where you live I would say maybe 2k-3k if you do it yourself...

Well there’s no guarantees in life.. I just wanted to point out that many people meet on vacation and there’s nothing wrong with that and doesn’t mean they have a weak heart or that they are lonely.. destiny is destiny…. Thanks for clarifying your point

Something like this could happen to anyone though..... I'm not sure wht you mean by "It sounds like she was really lonely and had a weak heart... otherwise why would she have invested so much in someone she met on a vacation?" ......... many of us here met our significant others on vacation...

We had exactly the same thing.. my husband was 32 and i read that question about the last 10 years or 18th birthday which ever comes first and i was SURE we did it right and they still asked us for that and the addresses.. but now that you say that about the forms not being updated it make sense...

Well you can’t send it in until they ask you for it but you can certainly start preparing for it. You will need copies of the refugee decision and reasons because they ask you to send that – If you don’t have the documents you can request copies from the refugee office where the refugee claim...

I dont know forsure and it could change from case to case but from what I have seen on here other people have also been asked for the ARC as failed refugees even when they left when they were told to. So I would think you would be asked for it.

Sorry just seeing this I have not been online in a while. My situation is similar to LiesaP. My husband is a failed refugee so thats why we had to wait for the ARC. We hope just a couple more weeks of waiting now.
