My spouse's medicals expired and we had to get her to take them again. It essentially cost the same as the first time, unfortunately.

My Japanese wife is currently in Canada with me while we wait for her DM.... We applied in June of 2015 and are having our application processed in Manila. The wait is killing... I know we shouldn't be complaining since we're together, but we expected things to be a little faster.

I can see that you are a fellow 2015 applicant. Hopefully we hear something from them soon...

It is very frustrating. When applications exceed processing times, they tell us to contact them, but no answers are given. >:( It is ridiculous and I hope they prioritize the applications that have been continuously delayed. Best of luck to our applications... Maybe we share the same, slow...

Each day, my wife and I wait for her application to be cleared but the more I think about it, the more I get mad and frustrated. We signed her up for the GCkey account the other day and there's essentially been no movement, apart from her medicals shown as "passed". The application is already...

I am more than a little frustrated with CIC at the moment. They sent us an e-mail earlier asking that my wife do medical examinations. We already got them DONE, upfront, last MAY. I assume they're asking for another medical as my wife's examination has already expired. This is ridiculous. We'll...

Update here as well. We got word from Tokyo VAC last week that they received our photos and will proceed to send them to Manila. No word from Manila yet, either.

I think after some careful thought, it'd be best to send it in the area your application is being processed in. I think that will save both time and effort. If I were to send the photos to Tokyo, they'd just send it over to Manila anyway since Tokyo doesn't do any family sponsorship files.

Another part that confuses me is which VAC to send it to. My spouse is Japanese and is currently living in Japan but her application is being processed in Manila. Does that mean she sends the photos over to Manila? Or does she send them to Japan? The e-mail says to find a VAC "in your area"...

Congratulations! Unkieherb, was the news delivered via e-mail? I see your application is a Japanese one as well. I'm hoping I hear news from them soon. Last I heard from them was for us to submit our Appendix A.

The photos HAVE to be immigration photos, not passport photos. The appendix a form should have photo specifics and all you have to do is show the photographer. The photos showing your dating history are different. And since I assume she's the only one being sponsored by you, she is the only one...
