This is probably good news then. I think once you complete your medicals you will receive your PPR.

Yeah same here. May 14 AOR so really hoping this wait ends soon. 8 months and 8 days and still counting...

I am on the lookout. Nothing so far but let's see in the upcoming days.

Congratulations - hopefully the golden email is just a few days away now.

Lol I am a US resident so I guess I am one of the unlucky US residents whose application they haven't worked on yet.

Lol thank you for the clarification. The May 2018 timeline definitely increased my heartbeat for a while! Congratulations on the PPR. I am glad you can move onto the next part of your journey now. Hopefully our wait ends soon as well though of course I am aware that everyone's application and...

I have heard those stories but I thought that those cases took so long because it was difficult to verify information on the application or the background check took too long due to travel to countries which are considered war zones (for example - Libya).

Did you say you applied in May 2018 and got the PPR in Jan 2020? That would mean a processing time of 20 months! Is that right?

Yes and No. With a long travel history your background check does take longer but there are plenty of us here who not have such an extensive travel history as your husband and our background checks are in process as well. So the reason for the delay may not necessarily be the extensive travel...

At least we have a sense of humor about all this.

I hope you are right. I crossed 8 months yesterday so I am really hoping the wait isn't too long for me either.

I really hope that their definition of shortly is the same as ours.

Hmmm probably your application hasn't even been opened yet. You could call the IRCC (using the TextNow app) and see if they can provide any reason why your biometrics status hasn't changed to completed yet or any other reason your application hasn't moved forward. Chances are you will get the...

Yes - and the lack of communication or the standard generic replies is absolutely frustrating. I live in the US and my visa expires in June. I believe I still have time but I was hoping that by receiving the PPR early I could do some early planning on relocating and searching for a job - things...

I think it would help if they provided an ETA - if they told me they would have my application processed by February I wouldn't then open my account everyday to see if there has been any update. It's the absolutely lack of updates or ETA that's frustrating and it would help if they provided some...

Sydney VO followed up to my call from Friday with another generic message saying "We have all the required documents and nothing further is required at this time." And yet somehow the application hasn't moved in months.

I am also traveling out of the country next month but I don't plan on telling IRCC about this as I believe the application is locked once you submit it. I don't think you have to keep updating them every time you travel to a new country. If they do have any questions with your travel history...

So by this account it would seem we are still 2 months away from PPR. I would have said that's as far as my patience can go but I am afraid by saying that IRCC will just find another way to test the limits of my patience.

Yes it is frustrating. I am also unable to make any long term plans because of being in this flux. If you decide to go down the route of consolidating case details, I will be happy to provide my application information. I am not an inland applicant but anything to get the file moving. I am...

Don't know what to tell you bud - I have read on other forums that sometimes approaching your locally elected officials can help but then I have heard stories where that's a waste of time. Either ways I am not an inland applicant so can't do that. As for writing to the IRCC minister - I am sure...
