Wow, thanks Rossei. This is really useful, many thanks for your consideration this is exceptional stuff. So after all, the picture is not as rosy as perceived by many of us about Canada. Among all the negativity which surrounds us regarding our decision to call Canada as our permanent home, this post from Rossei may provide some solace. Since many of us might not be visiting “Settlement Issues” segment of this website I thought of reproducing it here.

"DUBAI APPLICANTS" **Let's Network & Get Connected**

My advice to you is to apply for Australian immigration as soon as possible (as a backup to your plan). Obviously this is the case if your professional, financial and personal circumstances permit. What rizmayo and you are saying about residency obligation is correct, but remember these are...

Riyadh to Toronto - experience and observations

Thanks rizmayo for your useful input to the discussion. Since I am not an expert on Canadian Taxation System, and you have done the right thing by obtaining the advice of a tax consultant then probably there is no point in doing further deliberation :) Good luck and do keep us posted of any...

Thanks for your note Asaad. I hope and wish that you get your visa soon. Yes the situation in Canada is far worse than what is being perceived by many immigrants. Although, circumstances may vary for each individual. At this stage my advice to you is to wait & get the visa first, make initial...

    Winter Cloths from Dubai

I checked 'Tchibo' and 'Brands For Less' and they did have some really nice ski jackets and pants. Finding the right size is an issue so would need to visit multiple outlets. I hope it would be good enough for the first couple of days till the time I manage to get a more appropriate one from Canada.

Interesting article, Canadian Passport losing its perceived charm?
