I got this reply after contacting senator:- The same bill will continue in Jan 2017 at the same stage - no regressing with the passage of the New Year - just added time unfortunately. I think atleast we can relax the bill wont die.

Does any one know if bill is not passed by the end of 2016 will it die automatically or it would be carried in 2017 after the break in jan 2017?

For all the applicants waiting for ppr. I applied in june 2012 in cec class just got the ppr email on Feb 14 2014 as the security clearance can take a long time. Just wanted to add that if you are worried check ur notes if eligibilty is done then its just a matter of time and your ppr is on way...
